I'm supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

We really are changing the face of blood cancer!

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!

100 Miles!!

Friday 28th Jun
Woohoo! I have reached the 100 miles 🎉 This month I had to squeeze in walks and steps in between end of the school year activities, sickness, and summer camp schedules, but it was a great way to focus on a cause that is important to me. I tried to be intentional while walking, thinking of my Dad and also my gratitude for the treatment Sean received. And I also spent a lot of miles enjoying a show, discovering new music, or taking in the beach view with Meta 😍 Thank you to all that donated to LLS and supported me 🏃‍♀️

Why LLS

Saturday 1st Jun
Hello and welcome to my 100 miles challenge! It has been almost 13 years since I discovered Leukemia & Lymphoma Soviety and joined the Team in Training for the Surf City Half Marathon. Through Sean’s diagnosis with non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 2011 and his months of his chemo and radiation treatments, we found that the resources provided by the LLS were invaluable to all those impacted by these cancers. As both a patient and caregiver in our 20’s we navigated the crazy cancer battle relying on the information and programs provided by the LLS and our Team SEANstrong community. Medically, Sean’s treatment included forms of chemo found through new research that made his battle have good odds. Since his remission and cure, we have been so fortunate to continue our lives and were able to get married and have three beautiful children. Unfortunately, over this time cancer has still impacted us and our loved ones. My dad, David, was diagnosed with leukemia and after fighting as hard as he could, passed away in October 2022. My hope is that someday the early detections and treatment options for those like my Dad will prolong the lives of others. I hope that research continues to provide medicine and technology to give patients a path through cancer. So please join me in supporting an organization that provides positivity and hope to those impacted by leukemia and lymphoma. Donations are great, or join me for a walk as I work towards the 100!
